It’s always a good day when we get a call for a hand-forged item. While these types of jobs aren’t as grandiose as the large gates or custom furniture, they are incredibly fun to work on!
In this instance, a customer wanted a unique gift for her husband – an avid bar-b-quer. These pieces were made from square bar stock and forged the old-fashioned way…with a hammer and an anvil, and a light coating of oil as the finish. She wanted a rustic, minimalist look reminiscent of pioneer days. The hooks I threw in as a gesture of appreciation for the chance to make the fork…he will need some way to hang up the one of a kind bbq utensil!
